Your Purpose
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” —John 17:3–4
Jesus, wonderful Jesus! He who is Savior, Healer, King of kings, Lord of lords and our elder brother, so plainly and powerfully prays our destiny in the above passage from John.
Our purpose is to know Him. To really and truly know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand). The Amplified Bible translates it, the Father and His beloved Son. This assurance of relationship is our hope, sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, the earnest or guarantee of our eternal inheritance.
What a promise! What a tremendous gift of grace Father God has bestowed upon us if we only but believe on His Name and make our life a pursuit of knowing Him personally, intimately.
It is my love for Him that moves me to do what I do: to go and tell and demonstrate the love of the Godhead for all of humanity. Together, we are sharing this most important truth with peoples throughout the world that they might come to know and love Him too. It is my privilege to serve our Lord with you!
